Visiting The Confetti Flower Field

Be prepared for instagram cliches, but I love a flower field!  We recently visited the Confetti Flower Field at Wick and took some lovely photos in more of an "editorial" style- which, as I mentioned in my previous post, is what I want to get back to! 

In addition to sharing some of our pictures, I thought I would give you the details of our visit and what we found there! 

When To Visit
The Flower Fields are only open for a week a year and the dates change depending on the harvest forecast.  I heard about the farm last year after it closed, so I've been keeping an eye on Instagram for the date announcement. 

Initially we planned to take a week-day off work, however the opening dates changed and we used our day off to visit the Cotswolds instead.

We ended up visiting on a weekend - on the last day the fields were open this year!  We expected it to be super busy and although there were quite long queues on the road, it didn't feel busy once we got in the fields.

Once Inside
Once we had parked and paid our admission we were in!  Inside there's a good few options: 
- A Cafe 
- Tuck Shop 
- Stall selling art and flowers 
- Viewing point 

However, we didn't do any of this!  Once we saw the flowers we were just obsessed with them and spent over three hours just in the flowers, with a wee sit down with a drink in between! 

I knew I wanted to go down the dress route for a flower field shoot - and to be honest it was too hot for anything else! 

So I'm wearing a pretty #basic outfit of: 

- Dress from ASOS
- Sunglasses 
- Dad sandals for stability on the kinda rough ground.  I love these ones, I wore them in Morocco  and ever since we are walking in hot weather and they are still going strong!
     

I really love these photos and they were super easy to shoot. I'll soon be sharing my tips for flower field shooting but I'm also thinking of offering Matty up for photography sessions next year haha!
