The Best Free Day Out In Oxfordshire - Kirtlington Park Polo

I know I have mentioned this before, but a visit to Kirtlington Park Polo Club is probably the best free day out in Oxfordshire! 

The polo season may be over, but I thought I would share it with you before I forget. 

Kirtlington Park Polo Club is a very busy polo club, which holds events and matches most weekends from Spring through to the end of August.  There is a real variety in the events you can visit, but even better is that most of them are free to attend! 

There are loads of information on their website, including a tournament list and directions to get to the club. 

The first time we visited we were a bit worried because we didn't know anyone, but everyone was so open and welcoming - the matches are exciting, it's dog and kiddie friendly and there is even a place to buy food and drinks on site!  

I may not know the rules of polo but I like the excitement and seeing the athleticism of the sport.  There is so much power and seeing the ponies charge up the pitch and turn on a sixpence is amazing!
