Palladian Bridge

Palladian bridges are my new favourite thing. 
There's something about the symmetry and novelty of them I like. 

I think it's because it's something that's kind of useless, who really needs an ornately covered bridge?  But someone has taken the time to design and build it, just for someone like me to enjoy it.  

Enjoyment for the sake of enjoyment, my favourite. 

Plus this one in Stowe is set within some beautiful grounds!  

So as palladian bridges are enjoyment for the sake of enjoyment, this post is bridges for the sake of beauty.
