Sketrick Island Daft Eddy's

As promised in my last post on Sketrick Island this is my second post and review of our amazing lunch!

But before we headed in we shot the look.
But even before that I didn't look quite as glamorous - case and point, see here:
So after looking a bit odd we headed in to Daft Eddy's for our lunch.

Daft Eddys is always busy, we went for lunch and still had to sit for ten minutes before we got a table.  If you have time constraints or are wanting dinner, especially on special occasions like Mothers Day definitely book.  It's important to book because it's kind of in the middle of nowhere so if you can't get in there's not really much else around.

Once we were seated we got down to picking our food.  The full time menu is nothing special in my opinion, it's all about the specials!  And let me tell you that the special board is full of choices, I could have ate pretty much everything on it.

So I decided on the mussels as a main and doesn't it look great?

My mussels came with warm toast and lemon and they were swimming in a white wine, cream and garlic sauce which was amazing!

After I had picked out all the scrummy mussels I was left with the best part - the soup!

I would definitely recommend a trip to Daft Eddys, and you have to hold out for the specials board!  It really is the best part!
