Caju Le Petit Hotel, Madeira Review

Caju Le Petit Hotel, Madeira Review liquid grain

When we visited Madeira, we did a good balance of coastal life before heading to the capital city Funchal.  In Funchal we decided to treat ourselves and stay somewhere kinda fancy - Caju Le Petit Hotel.

Caju Le Petit Hotel is slap bang in the historic centre of Funchal, making it perfectly located for walking around the city - as well as being a little off the direct cruise ship trail!

Although the hotel is on the tiniest one way street in the world - the good thing is there is nearby parking at the shopping centre which is free!  So we stashed our rental car there while we stayed there! So we dropped our bags there before parking up and walking back!

Caju Le Petit is a gorgeous, very contemporary styled with lots of concrete!  The rooms were gorgeous, and we were on the corner with this gorgeous wrap around balcony and tonnes of windows.  Absolutely lovely!

The breakfast was also great - and aligned with the food ethos of the hotel.  There's lots of healthy options, acai and smoothie bowls and pancakes.  So nice!  The restaurant isn't open for dinners but is open to the public from brunch onwards!

Overall, I'd really recommend Caju Le Petit - its gorgeous and really well styled.  Plus the location is amazing!  The street comes alive at night with restaurant options
