When driving on the North Coast of Madeira we spotted signs for Seixal Beach, and I remembered seeing it as a "must see" on a lot of lists but I couldn't remember exactly why.... However when we pulled into the (tiny by the way) car park at the pier, it was quite clear.
Seixal Beach is Madeira's famous black sand beach!
And it is blooming lovely - so impressive!
We hadn't planned on stopping at a beach so we didn't have any beachwear. However I did have this tennis dress with me, which was nice and quick drying so did the job for a quick paddle!
It was a great place to stop and enjoy, however the local places to eat weren't great!
