Wedding Couple Poses Inspiration

wedding couple poses inspiration glencoe elopement

As you know, in October we eloped and got married in Glencoe!

One of the things I thought might be useful to share are the variety of couple shots we took together.  Posing as a couple can always be a bit weird at first but for us the important thing is to try and relax and some tips are:

- Remember to move, walk, move from side to side. Twirl, move your arms from side to side!

- Hands are weird!  And can make things pretty awkward.  Mr - try hands relaxed by your side or in your pocket. Mrs - try not to hold your flowers too high, sometimes it can look nervous and cover the dress.  To look relaxed keep the flowers at bellybutton or below.

- Look at eachother!

- Help eachother

- Practice before and look at pinterest for some inspiration of the photos you like

  1. Wedding Couple Poses Inspiration can come from moments that feel natural rather than perfectly planned—like a gentle walk hand in hand, a shared laugh, or a quiet pause where both partners simply look at each other. These poses don’t have to look staged; they can capture a sense of possibility, as if the couple is discovering something new together in that very moment. Sometimes, the most meaningful photos emerge when there’s space for emotion, movement, and a hint of unpredictability.

Such poses may reflect a soul attachment not as a fixed idea, but as a feeling that could exist something viewers sense rather than see directly.
A slight touch, a close stance, or even a thoughtful distance can suggest connection without certainty.
This approach leaves room for chance, emotion, and interpretation, making each pose feel uniquely personal.
