This review of the Scaramanga Leather Shopper Tote Bag and accompanying look is the last post in my three part series focussing on the lovely company Scaramanga.
If you missed the previous posts you can see the first Lookbook here and a walk around the St Andrews Scaramanga shop here.
The Company
Scaramanga are a friendly bunch, they are really active on social media and have an online chat option on their website.
From an ethical point of view, Scaramanga tick that box as well. According to their website a lot of their materials are sourced from the same supplier they have used for 6 years. Their methods of sourcing materials ensures that there is a contribution to a local economy, focussing on small-scale producers and craft based families and communities.
If you are ethically minded in your shopping I would encourage you to read their Ethical / Fair Trade Policy here.

First Impressions
The first impression I got from the bag is the quality of it- the bag is really well made. It's a firm, sturdy and I love the vintage/aged look of it.
Size
In terms of size, this bag is big! According to the Scaramanga website it can easily hold a 17" laptop, and I can believe it! Since I have had the bag I have really realised how large it is- you can fit two A4 notebooks portrait into the bag, standing next to each other. That's pretty impressive!
Use
Partly because of the size of the bag, I will definitely be using the bag for university next year. I'll be able to fit my laptop, a lever arch and a couple of books in there very easily!
Because the school year hasn't started yet, I'm currently using it as a massive handbag! I am really bad for carrying around way too much stuff, and that has only got worse since I have got Hetty. Now I carry around my things AND Hetty's puppy paraphernalia.
Overall
Overall, I really really like this bag! Not only is the quality amazing but it looks so good! I also love the ethical aspect of Scaramanga as a company.
The "brand" of Scaramanga is really well curated, aside from the ethical aspect of Scaramanga there is a really nice vintage, hipster (without pretension) vibe to the company which is fun to shop! This also comes across in store, so if you can visit a shop I would really recommend it!

I'm usually a smaller bag person as well but this is a handy size when you need to carry a lot around!
