My New Ellis Mhairi Signet Ring from Aetla, Edinburgh

Look at my fancy new ring!  I love it - I treated myself to this gorgeous Ellis Mhairi Mini Signet Ring as a celebration for graduating from my MLitt! Well that was kinda the excuse, as I had actually graduated in 2021... and I was also telling myself that I should just #treatyoself because it was …

A Wander Around St Andrews

As you probably know, I studied at the University of St Andrews not once (for my MA (Hons)) but actually twice (for my MLitt).  And I graduated from my MLitt back at the start of summer. While we were up in St Andrews for the graduation ceremony, we of course had a few lovely walks around the town.…

Tilly in Autumn Leaves

It's that time of year again, where the leaves have started to turn and fall!  And here is the lovely Tilly enjoying a walk and having a play in the leaves!
On another point - doesn't her eyes look fantastic!?

Carn Aosda and Carn a' Gheoidh Munro Bagging

Yes, you heard that right - we have bagged Carn Aosda and Carn a' Gheoidh!  And yes, that's only two of the Cairnwell Three!  Although those are pretty easy munros, we did do them at the start of 2022.  So there was quite a lot of snow on the ground - and we actually had to put crampons on.…

Dog Walk on the shores of Loch Lomond

One of the great things about living in Glasgow is how close it is to the wonderful Loch Lomond!  If you get a good run on the roads, we can be there in less than an hour! So here is a wee wander with the dogs, from the beach at Balmaha And side note, featuring my favourite IP-legally dubious beann…

Beach Walk on St Andrews West Sands

A couple of weeks ago we headed to my favourite Scottish coastal town and alma mater St Andrews.  We didn't really do much but let the dogs go absolutely crazy on the famous West Sands beach for a wee while. They absolutely had a great time, bombing about the place and Tilly having a wee swim!
