Ouarzazate, Morocco

We spent the night in Ouarzazate - a small town between the Sahara and the Atlas Mountains.  It's a very cute town and really interesting because of the famous film sets which have been the home of some very famous films! 

Before we checked out the film studios themselves we stopped at the wonderfully preserved Taourirt Kasbah (Kasbahs are essentially old houses/castles). 

Then on to the film studios which we had all to ourselves because we are early risers and in Morocco the early bird definitely catches the bird! Pretty much every deserty film you can think of has been filmed in Ouarzazate - Gladiator, 300 and the rest!
