A Night in the Sahara

When we arrived in the desert from our roadtrip, first we settled into our hotel, had a shower and left our bags there.  Then we headed to the camels!

Full disclosure - I was not prepared for this.  Having grown up with horses I was cocky - I thought the camel was going to be a big horse but a bit bumpy.  Boy was I wrong - I do NOT like camels!  There are no stirrups so you're just sitting there - essentially a sack of potatoes in the desert!

So off we went!

When we arrived at our camp we had dinner, took in some Berber entertainment then crashed in our tents!

The next morning we woke up early to take in the sunset and then got on the camels to return back to the hotel!

It was an amazing experience, unlike anything I've ever done before and I would totally recommend it to anyone travelling in the area.
