Pollphail was built in the 1970s for oil workers who never moved in. Everything was kitted out, even with kitchens and washing machines! But everything has fell into disrepair and graffiti artists have moved in with a vengeance!
A few weeks ago I spotted some pictures of Pollphail on instagram Matty and I just jumped in the car straight away! We needed to check it out!
So we headed to Argyll (and even got a ferry to get there) and it's right on the outskirts of Portavadie and it's on google maps! To get into it you should drive down a little overgrown path and park up - we decided not to go over the rather rickety looking cattle grids so we parked before then.
Someone has cut through some wire fences so you can just walk right through and get your explore on! There is plenty to walk around and explore. There is some really beautiful artwork to enjoy, so be careful but definitely check it out!
When we were there we also shot a lookbook which is coming soon here on the blog and here on my YouTube channel with some even better shots! We didn't get as much exploring done as we wanted to because we were doing outfits and then had to get some food!
Have you been to Pollphail before? Let me know what you thought of it down below! If you know of any other cool abandoned places in Scotland or the North of England please let me know!
