I know! Another Lyon travel post, aren't I so boring and predictable?
Well this is an exciting post about exciting day trip we took to a flea market (Les Puces du Canal) in Lyon- the biggest one in the Rhone-Alpes region actually!
You might have seen on my Youtube channel this vlog video where we had a wander around Vieux Lyon and the flea market.
You can find the flea market at: 1 Rue du Canal 69100 Villeurbanne on Sunday mornings.
If you want to get your buying on then you want to get there super early (as soon as possible) but if you're there to browse like us then there is things to check out until as late as 2pm.
Be warned, getting there is a bit of a hassle especially because it's on a Sunday, you'll need to take the metro A to Charpennes then the 17 Bus direction Saint-Priest getting off at Buers Salengro. Once you get off the bus you need to cross the canal and then turn left (you will see a steady stream of people you can follow). It's massive you can't miss it!
The flea market was a lot of fun to walk around and have a browse. There was loads of vans and trucks with stalls set up outside and then some permanent warehouses with shops with the higher end things in them. There is even some cafes dotted around for snacks, chocolat chaux or vin chaux!
There was a bit of everything around the flea market- vintage clothes, furniture, home made items, everything!
Do you like flea market shopping? What is your best flea market find?
