My Blogging Tools Of The Trade

I've been getting into this blogging game for almost two years now (wow, time flies!) and I have picked up a few technological tools which makes blogging a bit easier and smoother to do.  So I thought I would share them with you.

My Dream Holiday Destinations

With all this moving to France and reading everyone else's blogs about their exciting summer holidays the wanderlust bug has definitely bit me.

Plus it doesn't help that I have recently re-discovered the Wanderlust website which tempts me to run away!

So I thought I would put together a list of my dream holiday destinations, what do you think of my list?

In no particular order....

Glacier Express in the Alps

Afternoon Tea on a Budget at Brodies in Moffat, South West Scotland

UPDATE JULY 2015: I can no longer endorse Brodies as a business for a number of reasons despite enjoying my afternoon tea.  Please note that I paid for the food featured in this post myself.

You might have spotted on Instagram that last week I went for afternoon tea with my Mum, we are both BIG fans of afternoon tea so like to treat ourselves now and then.

My Favourite Apps

I recently entered the brilliant Iphone world after hanging on to my old Samsung as long as possible.  However with my contract being up soon and moving to France I thought I would get an unlocked iphone so I can stay in touch with people a little bit easier.

Now I have one it's basically amazing and I love it so I thought I would share with you my favourite apps on it.

A Maze-ing

I hope you appreciate the title of this post, I'm pretty much a comic genius.

This summer Matty and I have been bitten by the maze bug, I mean it, we've been to about five or six different local mazes.  Yes, bit of a crazy maze phase in this house!

I thought I would show you around one of my favourite ones - Carnfunnock Park in Northern Ireland.  I have done a few looks up there before, you might have seen it here and here!

Panda & Sons, Edinburgh Review - King of Cocktail Concoctions

Remember when I was up in Edinburgh for the TGI Burger Night?  Well once we had guzzled up our burgers we went up and around the corner to Queen Street to visit Panda & Sons.

I really enjoyed my cheeky cocktail at Panda & Sons so I thought I would write a little post about it, it's not sponsored or anything.  I just thought I would share a great place in Edinburgh!

Green on Green

Oh it's this Zara skirt again!  I'm terribly sorry but I like it, okay?!

Packing For University Checklist

With all the sunny weather - and the not so sunny weather - it is easy to get swept up in summer fever.  But for some of you out there moving away to university will be looming up in the very near future.

That was me almost four years ago and I was trying to get organised to head up to St Andrews.  So I thought I would write up a little checklist with my essentials for moving up to university.

Home Supplies

You might have some things supplied but it's always good to have your own basics, especially if you are sharing with people.  That way you are guaranteed to have something clean!

So you will want one- big plate, side plate, pasta bowl and soup bowl.  This zig zag set is pretty neat, but I love the fox print here

Chuck in a cutlery set as well!  Maybe this lego inspired set...

Is This Workwear?

So class, today's question... is this workwear?  I'm going to say yes, because I like it!

Spudgy Stationery Shoot

I love stationery and I love fancy stationery, so when Natalie over at Spudgy Stationery sent me some super cute stuff I was in my element.

Be My Sweetheart

Will you be my sweetheart?

Burger Blind Date at TGI Fridays, Edinburgh

Last week TGI Fridays in Edinburgh a host of bloggers assembled to go on a blind date- but with a difference.  This was a burger blind date!  And although it didn't go off without a hitch it was a fun night with some great company.

I took my friend James and we made sure to get different things to get lots of photos for the post!

We were greeted with a cocktail- very tasty but their "large" really means large, not that I'm complaining!

My Favourite Things To Do In Lake Windermere & The Lake District

With the weather being so amazing recently I was feeling a little bit cooped up at home.  A staycation was in order, so we jumped in the car and headed to the Lake District for the day.

The Lake District is such a typical British get away, beautiful lakes and landscapes, lots to do and for the past few weeks atypical British weather.  The sun was out and out to stay!

We're lucky to be not that far away, only just over an hour drive away.  But be warned the roads are pretty windy once you are off the motorway and parking can be a bit expensive.  You can also stop on the road, go for a little hike and soak in the views which gives a break from the drive!

Great Waves

I have no Lookbook widget for this look as I was silly and didn't like any of the shots which had my knees in it, so no Lookbook for me!

Today I am wearing:
Black Milk Great Waves Dress
Grey Cardi
String of pearls worn as a belt

The Commonwealth Games - An Introduction To Sport Shooting

Hands up who went to see any of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow?
I did!

I had a great two days away up at the Barry Buddon range for some shooting events, so thought I would tell you a little bit about them and why I thought they were special.  I also thought I could give you a little introductio…
