So you're in the beautiful city of Lyon, in the Rhone-Alps area of France , what are you going to do tonight?
Well if you are in the mood for some culture, fun and a taster of Lyon then I have the perfect thing for you to do. And it's FREE! What could be better...
If you head to the Opera House every evening in Summer you can catch a free jazz concert. There sets last for an hour, one starts at 7, the next at 8:15 and I think there is another one after that but I can't find exact details about the times.
The front of the opera is made into a cafe, and you can stand if you want but if you get there early enough you might be lucky enough to snag a table. A table is definitely the best option as you can sit and enjoy the show properly!
The drinks are quite expensive, my wine was €6 but I think it is worth it for a free concert. Realistically you couldn't get a ticket to a concert or entrance to a club and drinks for less than that so I was happy!
That's my first Lyon recommendation to you, hope you like it! And hope you like the pictures as well, they were Matt's (Facebook here). If you happen to go please let me know!
