OOTD 28/1/2012

Here's my OOTD for today!

I went out like this to uni plus my scarf and Barbour jacket and even sunglasses.  However by the time I came back in it was absolutely pouring!
So it was really luck I had my Barbour and my chelsea boots on as well, so at least I didn't have to get too wet.

So the outfit:

- good ole black fleece lined tights and black chelsea boots
- my CM custom dress of the boy's photo which I just love to bits.   For CM click here and for the boy's photography page you can click here
- then a nice and simple Ralph Lauren skinny fit shirt

So that's all for today's quick post!

Back to uni so everything's really busy.

January Shopping Haul!

So many clothes!  Check it all down belooow!

Since we have had SNOW today and that is very exciting so I went out took many many photos.  But super quickly so I didn't get too cold.

Let me tell you using self timer on a Samsung Galaxy balanced on top a tin box of Schnapps on a fence post is not easy!  Believe me!

So we have:

Zebra Teal Body Suit
Black Milk
Got this in a swap recently and I love it.  I actually had it in a little shoot yesterday which you can check out here.
Although I would say if you are between sizes size up for once!  Since I am normally a L in BM swims and this L wasn't as stretchy as I would like it to get the length I need it.

It's amazing, here's how I styled it quickly today:
1- Black shorts
2- Jack Wills Trousers
3- CM Purple Field Skirt

Purple Field Skirt
I was lucky enough to win this skirt from CM (Claire Maley) recently.
You can check out my full blogs on CM here and here.
I initially picked the dress "deviously purple" as my prize, which is gorgeous however it just didn't suit me.  So Claire was lovely enough to send me this instead.  I love the print and the length is great- it sits on my waist and almost goes down to my knees which I think it great!

Here's today's pictures:

1, 2, 5- Jack Wills jumper
3, 4- BM Zebra Teal bodysuit

Also this month I got a cheeky couple of things from Jack Wills:
Hollingfast Trousers
I got this in the sales and I think the trousers are great!  They were £59 and now it was £24!  So good!
They are a lovely soft cotton in a cigarette style skinny cut.  They are quite low cut so wouldn't recommend them if you prefer them to sit higher.  However I got them in a 14 and so they can be pulled up and just whack a belt on!
Photos:
1, 2- BM Zebra Teal Bodysuit

Then a JW jumper- Rayser Crew neck jumper / knit.
This was also on sale, reduced from £89.50 to £29!  Oh yeeaaah!
Tip for sizing:  this was pretty small fitting, I have other Jack Wills knits in a size 12 but this one I wish I had sized up.  Still a lovely knot and great for all seasons really.
Some of the pictures:
So as always check out my instangram- kathrynisi

That's all, don'e nothing yet today!  Oh the shame...

Z Z Zebra in the snow

This zebra in the snow must be very confused.

As always photography courtesy of the boy, see him here.

So the snow is on again!  But not lying so we are still functioning which is really good.

The outfit:

Black Furry Coat - so cosy

Black Milk Zebra Teal Bodysuit - got it from a swap recently and I need to do a good haul blog post soon.  I have a good wee pile to do soon from BM swaps and Jack Wills.

Then we have an amazing Ralph Lauren brown leather belt

Jack Wills Jeans - gotta have them if you are lanky / leggy and so on

Simple black studded chelsea boots

So here is the rest of the shoot:

I've got to go drop the boy off at the boat now, so byeee

Updated Nylon Collection

HELLO!

So last night I decided to update my Collection tab up there ^ at the top.  Mainly because I got all creeped out because it used to link to MyTightPantz where you could see my full name / facebook profile picture.

Low and behold my new NYLON COLLECTION page, look at my poor offerings here.

I also did a little picture gallery so people can see what they look like on M girls and so I can remind myself of what I actually look like.

Here is an unrelated picture

Hex - Fur - Hair Cut!

HELLO!

I also had a wee hair cut (it was actually a bit hair cut but I'm trying not to be over dramatic).

The full shoot is below!

But first for an outfit run down and an update on my general life.

I am wearing:

- Black Milk Hex leggings
These are awesome.  Got them in the sale and this is the first proper look I did with them.  I think they are still in stock so you can check them out here if you are keen

- Teamed it with a good old New Look vest
Grey because I'm lazy and I am running out of clean clothes because of being in Germany and back from uni.

- And my best buy of the winter sales, black faux fur coat!
I bought it so I have something to wear out / to formal occasions which is still warm.  This was a good call, with the snow coming in!

- Various necklaces and the likes.

Boy's photography page is here.  Photos are all hiiiis

The shoot:

Think that's about all for now.  I think I will redo my Collection tab for something to do.

Cheerio

OOTD 15/1/2013 and I have shingles!

HELLO!

I'm back from Germany!

It was a pretty good trip and we got lots of training done which is always good.

But bad news is I have came down with the shingles.  The bloody shingles!  Who even gets that any more!  So I am currently feeling like a Victorian chimney sweep or something and overall not feeling too great.

Anyway here is my OOTD yesterday.

We have:

Black Milk Hex legs:
my first outing in these bad boys.  More flattering than what I expected for them being so light.  But they are really comfortable and I like all the colours so that's always good.

Teamed with New Look grey vest:
these vests have been such a good purchase.  I got them end of last academic year and ended up buying them in about 6 different colours.  They are really great for leggings especially during the summer since they are long enough to hide your modesty but not super heavy.

So yeah, now I have shingles.  And loads to do: internship applications, training and waiting for exam results!  Scary scary times.

As always instagram:  kathrynisi

Rightio I am away now, much love!

Next 5 Things To Buy:

Hello!

Apologies for the radio silence lately, currently doing some super intense training in Germany so I haven't got too much time on my hands.

I'm lying in bed thinking of something to do- so naturally I am shopping.  So I decided to make a blog of my five next top wants to buy.

I probably won't buy them all (poor student remember) but we can evaluate the financial situation at the end of the month:

So here we go:

First up we have a very cute mint belt.

This is from ASOS and is a complete bargain at £3.50.
I absolutely love mint, believe me I have mint jeans.  So hit me up with all the mint you can get.
You can find it here.

Next I am feeling the need for some spiked loafers.  I love the UNIF Hellraisers but really can't justify the money for them so I think these ones from ebay make a good substitute.

Not sure which colour yet, probably black but not sure whether suede or the fake leather ones.
They're pretty cheap at £14.99.
You can find them here.

Also getting pretty tempted by Lovely Sally again.  So I think a wee haul is maybe needed.
I LOVE the Pulsar 1919 skirt, it looks so subtle but it still a great design.  Plus everyone always needs more black in their wardrobe ;)
It is 34 Euros and you can find it here.

For the same price I think I might get another skirt while I am at it- the Matuli Skirt
I have wanted this for ages but still haven't got it.
The boy calls it the Harry Potter skirt, which I think is great because I'm a big book fan and love Harry Potter!
You can get that here

Last one is the Silent Smoke leggings.  These bad boys are seen as classics in the LS world- even my Mum has them!  So I think it's about time I get a pair too.
These are so great and there is some great styling of them on Lookbook and Lovely Sally's facebook page.  So you should check them out for styling ideas.
These are 45 Euros and you can find them here.

So these are my current wants, I will have to have a check on the money situation then hopefully can get spending!

Much love, going for a nap now!

Esty / Facebook Shop Open! Yay!

STUDS! STUDS! STUDS!

That has been my hobby for the last few weeks- taking things of the denim variety and studding them.

I've been finding it quite therapeutic actually.

And today I launched my etsy and facebook stores.  So you should check them out and keep an eye on them because I will be adding to them as we go.

Mini CM Haul / Claire Maley Swim Sizing Advice

I was just walking out the door today when a package from CM arrived.

Inside was my Purple Sunflower Swim.

I ran back inside and tried it on, absolutely love it!

I was lucky enough to grab it in the sale, which you can check out here.  So I got it for £44 with free postage during the December postage promo.

It's such a great swim, and so comfy.
The lilac background is really pretty and since sunflowers are my favourite flowers I just had to get it.

I like how the flower on the front has a higher placement than at the back so it will be really easy to style with shorts and skirts!

Sorry for the rubbishy photo I took it really quickly, I will go take a flat photo of it now.  That should show it off a but better, then I can get on to my sizing advice for CM swims.

My CM Swim Sizing Advice:

This swim is a M and fits me great!
I was a little concerned about getting a M to begin with because in other brands I am most definitely a Large.  For example in BM and even my Nike swim I need L for the length.

CM seems to have a higher front and back so it gives more coverage and also means there is more of a stretch if you need it.

So that's really great if you have a longer torso like me.  Meaning you have the potential to size down if length was a problem in other brands.
On the same note I would say if you are between swim sizes then size down too.

Overall they fit great, give good coverage and certainly no worry about the straps being too long and exposing things that don't need to be exposed.  Great fit on the whole!

If you have never heard of CM before you can find her on facebook.

Basically CM is a relatively new British brand specialising in digital prints and nice and tight clothing!

I have done fuller blog posts on CM which include styling and shoots, you can see them hereherehere and here.  Featuring a couple of custom printed dresses which are great.

I also have featured CM on some Lookbooks, so you can check them out here.

Give me some time and I'll have this swim style and shot in no time!

Out tonight so need to have a bath and make myself look presentable!
